STYLE NOTES by ROSALIND VAN LAMSWEERDE-MILANI on 3 October 2013

We met up with Matt Goss in Piccadilly last week, in the beautifully redesigned Hotelde Paris, which boasts the most extraordinary view over the heart of London and his balcony looks out over it all – Eros included! How apt for this romantic singer. Matt, internationally renowned as the English singer-song writer and musician is back from LA for a while, to start the tournée to launch his new album “Life You Imagine”, due for release on 7th creative as we discuss the schedule and the Pal Zileri looks. Today, off-duty, he is at ease in a Pal Zileri purple cashmere polo-neck and soft easy checked jacket. The new album features a 16-piece brass section and 32 strings. It is the classy, swinging sound of ambition, passion, and the realisation of 27 years of experience in the music industry. “Life You Imagine” also recalls his roots and includes an inspired, swinging new version of “When Will I Be Famous”, the song that took him to the peak of his fame. We are able to catch some time together to plan his wardrobe for the coming engagements, as we are focussing on his highly nurtured look which is inspired by the classic style of James Bond in an Aston Martin, mixed with Rat Pack themes for tuxedo-cool. Matt is going to be on many of the UK’s main television slots, such as This Morning, Loose Women, a singing performance on Strictly Come Dancing, and Radio shows with Magic Radio, and BBC Radio. He will attend Pride of Britain Awards 2013 and his biggest commitment will be to a series of 4 performance nights on the 3rd of October. His mood is relaxed and very, 7th, 8th and 9th October at Café de Paris, all in Pal Zileri sharp tuxedo. This run of 4 special shows will see Matt backed by a full band, horns section, backing singers and dancers. He will present new songs along with hits from his well renow ned pop career. Matt said the following about the Café’ de Paris shows: ”London, get ready to be transported to a time of glamour & swagger! The famous Gossy Room based which is at the iconic Caesars Palace in Las Vegas [where Matt packs out the house in Rat Pack style, every weekend] is coming to town! It will be impossible to overdress so…..let the nightbegin!”
