Well, we had quite an eventful and successful Pitti Uomo in Florence.  From the launch of the fabulous hard-sided trunks and striped twill Signal collection for Spring 16, to the fabulous, very Florentine, sun-set event at Harry’s Bar alongside the river Arno with our Ghurka ambassador Waris Ahluwalia.   While celebrating Ghurka’s second show at Pitti, the occasion also marked the 40th Anniversary of the brand, and an illustrious international fashion&lifestyle guest-list was in attendance, including the Editors-in-Chief and Fashion Directors of GQ USA, GQ UK, Details, l’Uomo Vogue, Esquire UK and USA, Conde Nast Traveler, Bloomberg, Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist, WWD / Men, The Rake, Tinker Tailor, Robb Report, WSJ, Barron’s, Paper, MTV and many, many more.  Other notables included an eclectic selection of writers, art dealers, and publishers.  Time also allowed for the Ghurka production film to be shot the following morning, capturing the creation, inspiration and development of the new womens’ collection, shot at our Florence factory.  This documentary footage will turn into a film that will debut with the collection later this year, during the womens’ previews.

The G200 collection, a limited edition of 50 pieces, created especially to support the Gurkha Welfare Trust, also arrived safely at the venue, marking its debut in Italy.
