Helvetia & Bristol Firenze

Set within a 19th century townhouse in Florence, close to the city's world-famous Duomo and Uffizi Gallery, Helvetia & Bristol Firenze has undergone a spectacular two-year renovation.  The 25 new Bristol wing rooms and suites were designed by Anouska Hempel, with inspiration taken from the style of Florentine palaces of the past.  The finest Florentine master craftsmen were employed to create a beautiful but authentic experience for travellers visiting this historic city.  The eternal magic of Florence pervades every corner of the hotel, a place where history meets art, and a celebration of the beauty of the Italian Renaissance.

The jewel in the crown is the Presidential Suite Bristol.  A large living room comprises velvet sofas, marble finishes and a period fireplace. There are two bedrooms – both with four-poster beds – styled with antique-finish mirrors, brass furniture and bronze lamps hand-crafted by Bronzetto.  The Suite also benefits from three bathrooms finished with white Carrara marble. The master bathroom has a Devon & Devon bathtub set in front of a fireplace, plus a Turkish bath and walk-in shower.

Grosvenor House Suites
Combining the refined services of a luxury hotel with the privacy, comfort and generous living space of a contemporary city-centre residence, Grosvenor House Suites offer a unique experience for both long and extended stays, in the heart of London's Mayfair.

Anouska Hempel designed the interiors of the Suites to combine classical British finishes such as dark oak timber flooring with more contemporary touches, including tailored wall paneling and oversized stone bathrooms, all completed with state-of-the-art technology, bespoke furniture and original works of art.  Throughout, the innovative design echoes some of the great icons of Britain – Stonehenge, the White Cliffs of Dover, the Tate Modern and the English stately home.  The result is a timeless yet classic interior, a narrative of the formal and the eccentric, of the future meeting the past.

Hempel House & Hotels
Ever since the opening of the iconic Blakes hotel in London in the Seventies, guests have always dreamt of having a little bit of Anouska Hempel's enigmatic look and design at home.  In a first for the design studio, Anouska Hempel has now turned her expert eye from styling and sourcing exquisite pieces and fabulous furnishings for luxury hotels and private homes, to launching her own collection.

Furniture, fittings, fans, lights, lamps and mirrors are just some of the treasures and bespoke pieces, made painstakingly by hand for the new
Hempel House & Hotels collection (as featured by the FT's How To Spend It). Alongside the very same furniture you’ll find in Monsieur George in Paris, the range also includes iconic products from The Franklin Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge and the Duxton Reserve in Singapore (all three hotels of which were designed by Hempel). Very little is off limits, and so from London to Paris to Singapore, it is now entirely possible that your home can become a replica of personal travel through design.
