VILLA MORUKURU

Perfect for honeymoons and relaxing getaways, and surrounded by Morukuru trees, this luxurious villa is an amazing private retreat. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed at the property through a magic bridge, which gives a glimpse into what should be expected during a stay here. The swimming pool is charmingly lit and is surrounded by sun beds, while the trees also add to the magic of the villa.

The property is a mix of comfort, spacious interiors and modern features, and is the perfect choice for spending a romantic holiday, but also gatherings of small groups of friends (Morukuru is a two-bedroom villa which can accommodate up to 4 guests). The staff at the villa will ensure any desire will be dealt with and guests will live a unique experience. The villa has handmade fabrics throughout making the atmosphere very homely. The interior spaces are large and the property hosts an incredible library, top of the range digital equipment, a prestigious wine cellar and many chill-out areas.

There are plenty of activities to do in the area. Traversing the reserve in a comfortable safari vehicle allows one to cover thousands of kilometers in search of exhilarating game sightings, but for a true taste of Africa, nothing beats being on foot in the midst of the wilderness. At the local village dam, just outside the park, enjoy an afternoon of fun on the Morukuru boat. Be it fishing, water skiing or soaking up the sun by the water, there is something for the whole family. Experience the thrill of catching your own fish before setting it free again. The Marico River that runs through Morukuru is the largest natural source of water in the province, pumping one million litres per day: the river is clean and the fishing is good, though as any fishermen knows, patience will be required! As the sun sets across the water filling the sky with indescribable beauty, enjoy one last drink before heading back into Madikwe.

NORMAN CARR SAFARI
This high-end, luxury bush camp is situated within 60 acres of private land with views overlooking the Luangwa River. The area teems with wildlife and the camp has private access to the South Luangwa National Park.

Being located in a tranquil and magic environment, Norman Carr Safari is characterised by a palette of neutral tones and a minimalist design, and is perfectly thought out to blend into the landscape and offer the utmost comfort.

The camp was designed by award-winning architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens. The style and elegance of this luxury holiday accommodation, as well as the natural design, make it unique.  The architects honoured the camp’s heritage by using recycled and recyclable materials to build the new Norman Carr Safari, while the founder of the camp promotes safaris that respect the environment, landscape and local traditions.

There are six villas to rent in the camp, one of which is designed to accommodate a larger family, all being located at a generous distance from each other. Each property has a private pool, living and sleeping area and a very spacious bathroom. The circular bedroom looks towards the villa’s deck, the outdoor lounge and the swimming pool. The family villa is the only one with 2 en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate up to five guests. The other villas each have one bedroom. Norman Carr Safari also has a dining lounge and library, plus a tree-shaded pool and deck, with a winding footpath connecting them to the villas.

The camp is perfectly located for those who want to go on safaris and experience the heart of Africa!

MOLORI SAFARI LODGE

Molori Safari Lodge is a luxury retreat located 400km northwest of Johannesburg. The reserve borders Botswana. It was built in 2002 in the middle of Madikwe Game Reserve as a family house, but was transformed into the chic lodge of today in 2007.

Enjoy splendid views of the infinite valley and the Dwarsberg Mountains. Molori Safari Lodge offers its guests an original connection to wilderness and the dramatic surroundings, with a great level of comfort and personalised services - including airport greetings, expedited customs services at O.R. Tambo International Airport, customised games, drives and gourmet meals in unique settings.

The main lodge is composed of four dining areas, a library, a large living room and a bar. The living room and bar area open onto an outdoor deck with a spa and two infinity pools. There is also a spa on the highest mountainside deck for optimal wildlife viewing. Guests love spending time on one of the many decks to watch the beautiful scenery.

The five open-air suites, distanced from each other for absolute privacy, are very unique and are a highlight of the property. There are two premier suites (named Ngwedi and Lesedi), one family premier suite (Sephiri) and two presidential suites (Metsi and Molelo). They all have floor-to-ceiling retractable glass walls opening onto a private deck and a swimming pool. Other amenities include a fireplace, a minibar, a Nespresso machine, a spotter scope, an outdoor shower, Wi-Fi and air-conditioning. The presidential suites even feature a kitchen and a dining area, a study, a walk-in dressing room and a guest bathroom. All are very spacious and have their own style, blending African and international elements from different periods perfectly.
