6 Golden Awards at the Academy of Chocolate 2016 - London 


The Academy of Chocolate was founded in 2005 by five of Britain’s leading chocolate professionals including Chairman Sara Jayne Stanes OBE, and Patron Michel Roux OBE, united in the belief that eating fine chocolate is one of life’s great pleasures. Today, it has become one of the most prestigious awards for elite chocolate producers. 

2016 marks the Academy’s Eighth Golden Bean Awards, which aims to award the best “bean to bar” chocolate in the world. The Golden Bean Awards will be presented at an Awards Party later in September, in London.
 
Great success for Amedei who has been awarded with 6 Golden Awards. This is a testament to Cecilia Tessieri’s dream, who as founder of AMEDEI and as the only woman Maître Chocolatier, has been striving to create the world’s best chocolate, with her very own feminine touch.
 
For the first time Amedei presented its pralines at the chocolate awards. These gained two Golden Awards, two silver and two bronze awards. Amedei is the only chocolate producer that does not use a ganache in the filling, meaning there is no cream or butter, enabling the palate to concentrate on the delicious ingredients such as the coffee beans of the Chicchi pralines, or the rhubarb in the Radici Croccantino . These little creations are made to impress, revealing a different surprise every time.
A range of emotions are commanded by the  flavours, textures and aromas thanks to the creativity of the maître chocolatier and her specialised technique, leaving no room for improvisation. What makes Amedei's pralines so special is that the cocoa beans, fruits and roots are of the freshest quality, thanks to the years of experience Cecilia has gathered over the last 20 years. She only uses fresh ingredients, which are processed and treated quickly, in order to be able to fully exploit their
extraordinary aromas, tastes and  natural qualities.
